Update: input flush with tin

My dad helped me with some epoxy, and we set the plug into the altoids tin so it didn't stick out, and now it's secure so it doesn't jiggle.

If you use epoxy, DON'T GET ANY INSIDE THE PLUG! It's really hard not to (I don't know of a surefire way), but taping over the input...

Double, triple check the voltage!!!!

If you're not seeing ~5v running between pin 1 and each of the other three pins, you did something wrong, and you'll kill your iPod. When I first put everything together, I was getting substantially less than 5v, and the voltage regulator was heating up. So I put some electrical tape...

It works!

That was scary! Even after triple checking the voltages, my heart was racing as I plugged in my ipod. But what do you know, it works! Here it is all charged up and ready to rock.
